I left the Friends of the Camp Dinner repeating "wow" over and over again.  It's hard to get over such amazing generosity - and that in a time of economic difficulty.  We just praise the Lord for all the good He is doing and will continue to do through our camp.  We've learned there are a lot of people (friends) who really want to see the camp succeed in a big way.  I'm been so grateful for each and every one of you; for your contributions, helping pass the word along, and helping to make this such an enormous success.  Thank You: Thank you Ron Tabor for co-chairing with me, making sure everything ran smoothly Saturday, and handling the wonderful shuttle service everyone so appreciated.  Thank you Debbie for having the camp ready.  Thank you Cindy for getting the cooking team together and for preparing such an absolutely fabulous meal.  Thank you to George Mullin for again making such a significant contribution to the camp - ensuring 100% of what was given goes to the camp.  Thanks goes out to Leo Lavin and the Severn beach-decorating team - fantastic job.  Thank you to David "THE continuation committee" Mackie and the Boulevard church for their servant's heart and taking on clean up duties.  Thank you to the worship team "Isaac and Andy" (going on tour soon:-). Thanks goes out to Lance Ledebur for helping as FOTC Dinner historian and registrar - along with his daughter Heather Kohlbus, who did a great job stepping in as registrar for the night and tabulating everything for us.  Thank you to my wife, Sarah Beth, for handling PR, creating the images/concept that captured so many people's attention and helped draw out such a great crowd.  Thanks to the Exec Team for their many, many hours of service and to Sam for casting a vision that motivates us all to get behind such a worthwhile cause - supporting a camp that holds out the light and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Clearly - God blessed us with wonderful teamwork and energy!  THANK YOU! A special "thanks" goes out to Karen Pennington and DUO Media Productions for providing the way cool interview video of Ken Meade. At the end (after the end, actually) one of the board members handed me a check for the $300 that put us over the incredible $10,000 mark.  You know who you are, but not wanting to embarrass you - please accept my heartfelt thanks.  That just made the night.  In an amazing additional touch, literally - an unknown donor waited patiently to speak with me afterward.  When he approached me he said "Your count was off" and handed me another $200 in cash!  Oddly enough, and as amazing a night as it was, that was one of the most meaningful moments of the evening.  This man clearly was making a sacrificial donation, anonymously - and frankly - quite emotionally, to the camp he loves.  What a fantastic and positive event for the Lord, His camp and His kids.
